Originally from Idaho, Amanda moved to Oregon in 8th grade and graduated from Hillsboro High School in 1997. She then spent two years at Mt. Hood community college studying journalism and communications. Growing up she developed her love of real estate through the influence of her mother, who worked in interior design. Working in retail and then in restaurants through school, Amanda developed a strong work ethic and respect for small businesses. She has been a Realtor since 2005 and much of her early experience was working with corporate investors, buying homes at county auctions. This work took Amanda all over the city, and that experience shaped her ability to assess the value of any property, no matter the neighborhood. She has a sense of design and style and can see a property's potential where others may not. Amanda lives in the Rock Creek area with her husband, Jeff, and two daughters, Sadie and Sammye. She is an active volunteer for the Beaverton School District and is the Art Literacy Coordinator for Rock Creek Elementary School.
